How Pops & Bangs Work

This feature is achieved through precise tuning of the ECU, where a controlled, lean misfire is introduced when the throttle is released. The result is a series of pops and crackles from the exhaust, with the intensity varying based on engine load, RPM, and exhaust temperature. The hotter the system, the more pronounced the effect.

For vehicles with a decat or performance exhaust, the effect can be even more aggressive. Select petrol cars with cat-delete setups can also be tuned to produce exhaust flames, creating a truly dramatic experience.
