⚠️ For BMW X3M & X4M models manufactured after June 2020, an ECU unlock is required before tuning. This is done via Femto ECU unlocking services in Finland, which takes up to 5 working days.
BMW X3M & X4M (F-Series) Stage 1 & Stage 2 – Power Gains
Stage 1 – Power Gains:
- Stock Power (Non-Competition Model): 473HP / 600Nm
- Stock Power (Competition Model): 503HP / 600Nm
- Stage 1 Remap (Both Models): Up to 600HP / 750Nm
- Hardware Required: None

Stage 2 tuning builds upon the gains from Stage 1 by increasing airflow and cooling efficiency, allowing for stronger power delivery and improved turbo efficiency.
ECU Unlocking for BMW X3M & X4M (June 2020 Onwards)
⚠️ For BMW X3M & X4M (F-Series) models manufactured after June 2020, the ECU must be unlocked before tuning.
- Your ECU will be unlocked by Femto in Finland, the only company in the world capable of unlocking these ECUs.
- We will send your ECU to Femto via DHL Express, and the process takes 3-5 working days, including unlocking.
- Note: While we use secure DHL Express services, any lost or missing ECU parcels are at the customer’s risk, and we cannot warrant missing items with DHL. However, we will assist in advising on the next steps if any issue arises.
Once the ECU is returned unlocked, your car will be mapped in-house at Onyx Performance to optimise performance, power, and drivability.
